The Dufault family has been farming in the Yakima Valley since the 1920s. Jeremie's great-grandparents, Joseph and Anna, grew hops in Moxee and near Wapato. After World War II, Jeremie's grandparents, Paul and Eleanor, started their own farm and ranch in the Lower Valley. There are Dufaults still farming today.
Jeremie grew up appreciating the importance of agriculture and its role in the local economy. He grew up living the values of farming, values like honesty, self-reliance and the importance of hard work.
